Mdina Summer Fundraising Dinner
The Maltese Association organized another summer fundraising supper, which took place in the beautiful surroundings of one of the most enchanting squares of Mdina.
The meal was inspired by Grandmaster L’Isle Adam’s first visit to Mdina in 1530 and the menu was based on genuine, historical documentation. Guests were welcomed by the St. Julian’s Band Club and proceeded to enjoy a four-course mouth-watering dinner prepared in house by Karen Miller and Matty Cremona, assisted by a number of members and volunteers of the Order. A pleasant and most enjoyable evening was had by all, whilst also raising funds for the Association’s many activities.
We are very grateful to our confreres Joe and Justin Zammit Tabona, and The Xara Palace Relais & Chateaux for providing all the tables, chairs, glassware, crockery, cutlery and helping with the logistics and staff on the night. Thanks also go to our confrere Peter Sant Manduca and the Mdina Local Council for their kind permission to hold the event in one of Mdina’s most charming squares, NM Arrigo for supplying the delicious wine, and to Ernst and Daria von Weyhausen for allowing us to use their home for all the prep work.
Much gratitude also goes to the generous and various sponsors of the event.
