XXV Hospitallers’ Conference

17/03/2017

The XXV Hospitallers’ Conference was held at the headquarters of the French Association in Paris on 17th – 18th March 2017.

The Conference was presided over by the Grand Hospitaller, Dominique de La Rochefoucauld-Montbel who delivered the opening and closing addresses and moderated throughout. The Grand Chancellor Albrecht Boeselager was also in attendance and addressed the gathering. The Prelate of the Order, Monsignor Jean Lafitte, presented a most appropriate paper titled “Christian Sense of Volunteering”.

The Maltese Association was represented by the Hospitaller, Dr Kevin F. Dingli, who delivered an address focussing on various new projects being developed by the Association whilst also touching upon other projects which have been more recently implemented such as The Dar tal-Providenza Transport Project or further consolidated such as Prison Ministry and the refreshment trolley service at SAMOC.

The annual Hospitallers Conference is always a unique occasion for the many Hospitallers attending, hailing from different geographical regions, to exchange valuable ideas whilst renewing important acquaintances. The Conference is also attended and addressed by representatives of Malteser International and the Global Fund for Forgotten People.
