Communicators’ Forum, Rome 25-26 November 2016
The Maltese Association participated in the Order’s International Communications Forum held in Rome at Palazzo Malta on the Aventine, on the 25-26 November 2016.
Fifty-eight participants from twenty-four countries together with representatives from the Grand Magistry Communications Board, The Global Fund for Forgotten People, Malteser Hilfsdienst e.v. Malteser International and Malteser International America, packed the conference room at Palazzo Malta during the two-day intensive conference.
After a welcome and introduction by the Grand Chancellor, the President of the Communications Board, Ulrich von Glaunach zum Kazenstain, talked about the current strategies and priorities of the Order. Marianna Balfour gave a presentation on a priority theme: Refugees and IDPs and Klaus Schweinsberg gave guidelines on how to implement a crisis communications plan. The latest Grand Magistry Communications developments were presented by Eugeno Ajroldi di Robbiate; Philippa Leslie debated the plans for an international film campaign in 2017 and Blandine Rubattu discussed Photos Management, Needs and Requests.
During the round table overview from the Communications Officers, each one gave a three-minute presentation of their most significant achievements in communications in the last twelve months.
An official dinner was hosted at Palazzo Orsini, in Via di Monte Savello, on Friday evening.
A Conventual Mass with the members of the Grand Priory of Rome was celebrated on Sunday morning at 11:00 at the Cappella Palatina in Piazza del Grillo.
