Advent Retreat

The Advent retreat for members, prospective members, spouses and volunteers was held at St Joseph Convent, Tal-Virtu’ in Rabat on Saturday 28th November 2015.

The preacher was the Rev. Fr Charles Tabone O.P. and the main theme of the retreat was “Come, Lord Jesus” (Apoc. 22-20). The first meditation was about Religion and Religiosity and the second about The Eucharist and our Community.

Confessions were heard late in the morning with The Way of the Cross being prayed in the early afternoon. The day’s retreat finished with Holy Rosary and Mass.

Four members of the Maltese Association, Dr Kevin Dingli, Mr Stephen Ellul Sullivan, Mr Dennis Kirkop and Comm. Martin Micallef, aspirants in preparation for the “Promise of Obedience”, had their five day opening retreat at the same venue. Religious talks and discussions to this group were also given by Rev. Mgr Lawrence Gatt and Rev. Fr Savio Vella, whilst Comm. Dr George Gregory Buttigieg gave talks on the Order and its history.

The retreats were organised by Comm. Anthony Miceli Demajo, Spiritual Retreats Coordinator and Mgr Lawrence Gatt,  Principal Chaplain, with the kind help of Mr Chris Galea.
