Children’s Christmas 3D matinée movie ‘FROZEN’ a Disney musical fantasy-comedy film

The Maltese Association once again organised a Christmas children’s film show at the Eden Cinemas for 150 children coming from orphanages and various child care centres and homes around the island.

The kids started arriving at the cinema in the early afternoon as always so keen and looking forward to this yearly appointment with us ! They queued up with their carers to collect their soft drinks.

The tubs of pop corn and 3D glasses were distributed after the children settled down into their seats for the start of the film. As soon as the movie started delightful shrieks from the children could be heard when the 3D effects of snow and ice came breaking through the screen, snow flakes were flying all over their heads and this captivated the children’s attention it was so near realistic that they were tempted to catch them with their hands. It was breath-taking ! This Walt Disney production could almost be classified as a musical with the many great songs sung throughout the show. The theme behind the engaging tale of ‘FROZEN’ is a great story of love and courage which even managed to mesmerize and enthrall the carers and helpers’ attention!

After two hours it was time to go home and seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter of the children as they excitedly left the cinema to board their coaches to go home was most worthwhile and so rewarding for the Maltese Association and children’s carers.
